As a salon owner, you want to provide your clients with the best results, and a glycolic acid peel is an effective way to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin. Glycolic acid, a powerful AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), removes dead skin cells and stimulates cell renewal for smoother, more radiant skin.

At Ginkel’s Cosmetics, you can choose from peels with 10% or 30% glycolic acid, depending on your client’s skin type.

• 10% Glycolic Acid Suitable for sensitive skin or for clients who have not undergone a peel before. It provides a gentle exfoliation, perfect for a first treatment or for clients with skin that is sensitive to more intensive treatments.

• 30% Glycolic Acid Ideal for normal to oily skin and for clients who are accustomed to regular peels. This concentration offers a deeper exfoliation, making it more effective for addressing stubborn skin issues such as enlarged pores, pigmentation spots, and fine lines.

Follow the step-by-step guide below or check out our online manual for a safe and effective treatment.

1. Cleansing Thoroughly cleanse the skin with a cleanser that best matches your client’s skin type. Ginkel’s Cosmetics offers a wide range of cleansing products, including tonics, milks, and foams. Using the right cleanser ensures that the glycolic acid peel can work effectively and that the skin is well-prepared for the subsequent treatment.

2. Exfoliation

  1. Apply the Glycolic Acid Peel (10% or 30%) evenly to a clean, dry skin using a mask brush. Keep the eyes and mouth free from the product. Allow the peel to work for 3-7 minutes, depending on the skin type. Remove the peel completely with water and sponges.

3. Neutralization Now neutralize the skin with Ginkel’s® After Care pH Balancer. The pH Balancer, enriched with aloe vera and soothing oat extract, restores the pH balance, calms, and reduces redness after the peel. Spray generously onto a cotton pad or directly onto the skin. Avoid the eyes and allow it to dry.

4. Care After a peel, the skin is especially sensitive to sunburn and requires additional protection. The After Care Balm with SPF 30 protects, hydrates, and supports recovery with natural ingredients. Sell or provide the client with a retail size of the After Care Balm along with clear instructions to use it twice daily for at least 3 to 6 days following the peel.

Ginkel’s® fruit acid peels (glycolic acid peels) are available in a small 30 ml size, suitable for approximately 6 treatments, and in larger 150 ml sizes.
